RV Softballers Day 2 in Taiwan

While every aspect of the controllable is factored in, the weather forecast for today has been much of a concern for us(cloudy with expected showers)..;(.  What can I say, even the Taiwanese weather has played great host to us----weather hold on for us to do our training  and exchange matches with 市立東園國小。THe kids are amazing! With some of them having been introduced to softball for only 2 months, their sound basic and game sense have left a deep impression in our mind.  As Coach Jerry puts it,“for their age, they might not be as fast, but they just know where to move and have the bases well covered." This primary school is what I shall call --The Wonderland of softball and baseball for any kids.  Sports Class system has enabled the training and development of baseball and softball to be done in school 6 times a week without compromising academic achievements.  As the Principal Mr Liang Chun Yao has shared with us (both teachers, coaches and students), the emphasis is first Character, Academic then Training.  The creative use of space planning has allowed the school to have a 3 lane all-weather batting cage (with full size baseball pitching machine) and a 2 lane basement indoor batting cage cum training facilities.  As we tour the school campus, children as young as 8 years old are involved in training, hustling from point to point, yet never fail to greet the Principal and guests with enthusiasm and that little "kiddish-ness"--Soooo Cuuute ;).  The future is great for this pupils.  The school never fail to WOW us at all time.  As we tour, photos of the game has already been uploaded to the schools website.
